	Attorney Jackie Cardinali was admitted to the Maine State Bar in May 2010. She is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and American Bar Association. Attorney Cardinali found an interest in taxation during her last semester of law school. She took a course in Personal Income Tax and found navagating the Internal Revenue Code fascinating. It was during this time when she learned about the LL.M. in Taxation, an advanced legal degree in this subject. The taxation program at the University of Washington School of Law provides a rigorous study of Federal tax law in a curriculum taught by major scholars in the field and leading practitioners drawn from the entire Pacific Northwest region. During her taxation program, Attorney Cardinali was one of only six LL.M. students chosen to participate in the nine month commitment to the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. She received a grade of 4.0 for each of the three quarters of her participation. As a Student Attorney, she represented taxpayers before the I.R.S. and secured favorable outcomes for all her clients. This experience instilled in her the passion for helping others with their tax related distress. It was through the Clinic work that Attorney Cardinali honed her talent for taking complex law and making it understandable for her clients. At the UW, she concentrated her elective courses on Estate Planning, Business and International Taxation. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Attorney Cardinali is a first-generation Italian American. She is the first and only family member to acquire a legal degree and practice law. She visited New England in the mid-1990's and fell in love with its quaint charm. She moved to York in 2000 and loves to live where people travel from across the globe to visit.

	The Cardinali Law Firm, P.L.L.C. is proud to announce the addition to our staff of Kimberly K. Shannon as Law Clerk Intern. Kimberly is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree and has made the President's List since first becoming a college student. She plans to continue on to law school and ultimately to practice law. Kimberly has many years experience working with attorneys who practice family law and is now developing an interest in assisting with tax law matters, consumer protection, collection defense, bankruptcy, and all legal services offered at The Cardinali Law Firm. She brings to us many skills and qualities that help us better serve our clients. Kimberly looks forward to contributing her knowledge, skills and talents to assist with your legal needs.
